freight liners use 3 different engines and all of the fault codes are different if yours is a Detroit 15 engine go to a service shop for Detroit and have the code explained

2012 freightliner cascadia DD15 fault code ECU 1... prior to the fault code the engine bogged down really bad and solid yellow and check engine light come on.
an answer from just answers reports this ecu 1 fault means the engine ECM has an internal fault and needs to be replaced most of the time with this code it is not the ECM itself but usually a wiring problem going to the ECm there should be 2 fuses for the ECM either next to the ecm in plastic covers by a starter or in a plastic box check all wiring going to and from the engine and battery grounds especially the grounds check for wires rubbed through and loose terminals take it to a service dealer for a proper diagnosis as it costs money wasting time trying to find the fault yourself as a truck standing still is not earning it's keep

Where can I find what the fault lites mean. on the dash of a Cascadia w/dd15
This is an aftertreatment code. Make sure your DEF tank is at least half full. Make sure the truck doesn't get shut off with low air pressure or the lines can't purge. Try cycling the key on and off 3 times and see if the code remains.
Fault Code 61 indicates a failure with the circuit controlling the Rail Motor and the side-to-side movement of the X-Y Shift Finger. Read below to learn how to test, clear and fix fault code errors for your Freightliner, Mack, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, International, and heavy-duty truck and equipment.
Error code P0700 signifies that a malfunction has been detected in your vehicle's transmission controls. Most modern automobiles feature a specific control module as it relates to the vehicle's automatic transmission. This module is known as the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
SPN 3364 Fail 2 is telling you that your Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) has a quality issue, or at least that is what the ACM thinks. There are test strips available to test for DEF contamination. Also your DEF pressure sensors, lines DEF nozzle should be checked.
The EEC keeps your engine running at peak efficiency for your operational environment by evaluating input from engine and environment sensors hundreds of times per second. Those same sensors can provide valuable input as to the health of your powerplant.
If your truck's gas mileage plunges in the time span of around 2 weeks your ECM or sensor attached to it could possibly be causing the problem. If your gas mileage falls throughout the course of a few years it would be best to see your mechanic since this likely wouldn't be from an ECM.
An electronically controlled engine has an electronic control unit (ECU), monitoring what the engine is doing using a number of sensors – its speed and the load on it – and alters the fuel injection rate to give the right power as it's needed.
Leaving the battery disconnected for a few minutes will ensure the vehicle systems will completely reset when you reconnect the battery. Secure the negative cable back to the terminal and cover it with the cap. Disconnecting the battery will clear the error codes and reset the check engine light.
The Ford EEC or Electronic Engine Control is a series of ECU (or Engine Control Unit) that was designed and built by Ford Motor Company. The first system, EEC I, used processors and components developed by Toshiba in 1973. It began production in 1974, and went into mass production in 1975.
EEC 61 is basically saying there is a problem in the After-treatment control module. This is the module the Engine uses for the aftertreatment system. Your Check Engine Light, and/or your Maintenance light will be on at the same time.
61-1 and 62-1 are common codes in Hondas. They usually happen during cranking with a weak battery. They are typically permanent codes and don't cause a check engine light. Unless there is an ongoing problem, ignore them.
Flash Code 62 indicates that the function assigned to the Auxiliary Output #1, #2, #5, #6, #7 or #8 circuit output has an open circuit or short to battery (+). A short to battery (+) is detected when the DDEC ECM, see Figure 62-1, is unsuccessful in turning "ON" the configured function.
The reason for the code is you have a low backup battery in the ECM and it is bad. So when you remove the cables from your batteries, it will not save the perimeters of your truck in the RAM.
The Motor Control Module (MCM) monitors rail pressure during engine shut down and compares it to a stored learned value. If the bleed-down rate has changed due to leakage and it is below the learned value, this code will set.
