EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso has released a list of road closures for June 8, which could affect your commute.
I-10 Widening West
Monday, June 10, through Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I-10 East and West will be intermittently reduced to one lane between Vinton Road and Transmountain Road.
Crews will be constructing retaining walls.
49-hour closure to open lane
Saturday, June 22 at 4 a.m., through Monday, June 24 at 5 a.m.
I-10 West will be closed from North Mesa Street to Transmountain Road.
DETOUR: Take Exit 11 (SH 20/Mesa Street/Thorn Avenue), continue on North Desert Boulevard, re-enter I-10 past Transmountain Road.
Crews will be restriping the roadway to open a second westbound lane on I-10.
Beginning on Monday, June 24, at 5 a.m.
I-10 West will be open to two lanes of traffic from North Mesa Street to south of Transmountain Road.
I-10 West will remain at one lane from South of Transmountain Road to Enchanted Hills Drive.
Beginning on Monday, June 24 at 5 a.m.
The new permanent Loop 375/Spur 16/Transmountain Road exit from I-10 West will open.
The old temporary exit will close permanently.
NOTE: The permanent exit is approximately ½ mile before the temporary exit.
Beginning Monday, June 24, at 5 a.m.
The Redd Road exit from I-10 West will close permanently.
DETOUR: Take Exit 11 (SH 20/Mesa Street/Thorn Avenue), continue on North Desert Boulevard, turn left or right on Redd Road.
Crews will begin removing the existing ramp.
56-hour closure
Friday, June 28 at 9 p.m., through Monday, July 1 at 5 a.m.
I-10 East and West will be closed at Thorn Avenue.
EASTBOUND DETOUR: Take Exit 9 (Redd Road), continue on South Desert Boulevard, re-enter I-10 past Mesa Street.
WESTBOUND DETOUR: Take Exit 11 (SH 20/Mesa Street/Thorn Avenue), continue on North Desert Boulevard, re-enter I-10 past Transmountain Road.
Crews will be demolishing the Thorn Avenue overpass.
The following closures and detours will continue until further notice:
The westbound mainlanes of I-10 are detoured onto North Desert Boulevard at Los Mochis Drive.
The eastbound mainlanes of I-10 are detoured onto South Desert Boulevard at Los Mochis Drive.
South Desert Boulevard is closed to all traffic south of Spur 37 (Vinton Road).
Both turnarounds at Redd Road are closed.
The onramp from South Desert Boulevard to I-10 East at Redd Road is closed.
Alternating nighttime lane closures are possible on I-10 East and West between Redd Road and Anthony, Texas.
Alternating daytime lane closures are possible on North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard between Redd Road and Anthony, Texas.
Guardrail Repair
Monday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Spur 601 westbound exit 20A complete closure.
US-54 southbound between Broaddus and Cassidy right lane closed.
Tuesday, June 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Paisano entrance ramp to I-10 West closed.
I-10 eastbound between Mesa Park and Executive right lane closed.
Wednesday, June 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Loop 375 (Border Highway) westbound between I-110 and Paisano right lane closed.
Thursday, June 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Loop 375 (Border Highway) eastbound at Midway exit 53 closed.
Friday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
US-54 northbound between Ramp O (Loop 375 West and US-54 North) right lane closed
I-10 eastbound between New Mexico state line and Antonio left lane closed.
Crews will be repairing guardrail.
Spall Repair
Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Night)
Direct connector ramp between southbound US-54 and Loop 375 (Border Highway) West (Ramp P) will be closed.

I-10 eastbound between Raynolds and Geronimo alternate lane closures.
Wednesday, June 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Night)
I-10 westbound between McRae and Viscount right three lanes and McRae on-ramp to I-10 West closed.
Thursday, June 13 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Night)
US-54 southbound between Trowbridge and Loop 375 complete closure to Loop 375 eastbound traffic will be routed to I-10 eastbound.
Crews will be repairing the spall.

Crews will be boring for electrical conduit, pouring drill shaft foundations, potholing, and installing new lighting poles.

Montana Avenue (US 62/180) eastbound frontage road full closure between Joe Battle Boulevard and Tierra Este Road.
Crews will be working on traffic switch.
Purple Heart Loop 375 Widening
Through Sunday, June 30. Daily, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Purple Heart Highway (SL 375) north- and southbound left inside lane closure between Montana Avenue and Spur 601.
Crews will be hauling out material in and out of the median.
Loop 375 Widening Project
Monday, June 10 through Thursday, June 13. Nightly, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Loop 375 south- and northbound main lane closure between North Loop Overpass and Zaragoza (P.O.E) Overpass.
Crews will be working on installing bridge structures.
Continuous closure until 4 p.m. Sunday, June 16.
Americas Avenue (frontage road) right lane northbound between Joe Rodriguez Road and South Side Road closed.
Crews will be securing roadway until required asphalt repair work is complete.
Districtwide Metal Beam Guard Fence Project
Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 14. Daily, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
I-10 westbound alternating shoulder, and lane closures between Horizon Boulevard bridge to Tornillo bridge.
Crews will be working on replacing metal beam guard fence.
SH 20 Raised Medians Project
Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) east- and westbound closure inside lane closures between Rio Vista Road and Horizon Boulevard.
Crews will be preparing locations to bore and begin boring.
