Carlos Alcaraz speaking on Court Philippe-Chatrier after his win: "It was a really good match. I think I played really well, much better than the previous match.

"This is something I really wanted, just to get in the rally, play some good points and feel like myself on the court. I think I did that really well.

"I have great memories playing on this court. I'm feeling better and better every match I play here.

"Obviously Sebastian (Korda) is a great player and a really good ball striker. It is difficult to play against him. I had to run a lot. It was like a marathon for me today.

"I wasn't worried at all. I know what I'm capable of. I know my skills and that it is really difficult for him as well."

Carlos Alcaraz (3) has finished off Sebastian Korda (27) in straight sets, winning 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-3. He moves on to the fourth round, where he will face the winner of the match between Ben Shelton (15) and Felix Auger Aliassime (21), which will resume tomorrow after being suspended for rain today.

The 23-year-old American Korda is still seeking to replicate his unlikely run to the fourth round of the French Open in his debut Grand Slam main draw appearance in 2020.

The problem with being a very, very good tennis player is that you can play your absolute best against the best of the generation and get zilch in return.

Seb Korda raised it, really raised it in the second set tonight, even rattling Carlos Alcaraz. But at the crucial moments, Alcaraz edged the battle, with the unreliability of Korda's forehand reemerging at the worst possible time.

Five games later, he finds himself 1-4 down at the hands of an Alcaraz masterclass and two games from exiting the tournament. Tennis. Cruel.

A pattern is beginning to develop in the match between Carlos Alcaraz (3) and Sebastian Korda (27).

In the first set, Alcaraz broke the American, Korda responded with a break of his own, and then the Spaniard broke him once again to win 6-4.

In the second set, Alcaraz broke, Korda returned the favor, and Alcaraz appeared set to break him once more. But the American found a way to flip the script this time, saving three break points en route to taking a 4-3 lead on serve. Let's see if the 23-year-old American can find a way to steal a set here.

“My brother doesn’t have a partner for Wimbledon currently,” Andy said after losing in the first round of the doubles with Dan Evans to Thiago Seyboth Wild and Sebastian Baez. “We have spoken a little bit about it. So may do that, but not 100 per cent sure yet.”

The rain has picked back up at Roland Garros, forcing the three matches in progress outdoors to be suspended. The courts have been covered with tarps, a sign that the administrators don't expect to resume play soon.

We're still playing on the two indoor courts, where Korda-Alcaraz and Moutet-Ofner are each on serve in the first set.

Moutet-Ofner moved to Lenglen

A big roar on Lenglen, as it's announced that home favourite Corentin Moutet's match against Sebastian Ofner will be moved there from Simonne-Mathieu.

Moutet is so entertaining, especially on home turf, and there should be fireworks in this one.
