#AI could power up UK GDP by £550 billion to the UK economyThe “Unlocking the UK’s AI Potential” report reveals that AI could power up UK economy by £550 billion by 2035.The prediction is based on data modeling and surveys of over 1,000 senior business decision-makers conducted by independent consultancy Public First.The report warns that delays in implementing AI could cost the UK £150 billion by 2035. Among progress blockers it identifies shortfalls in tech infrastructure and commercial awareness as well as digital skills shortage.Interestingly, AI is quoted as a factor in workforce levelling up: contrary to common concerns that AI will have a disproportionately negative impact on lower-income workers, the report suggests that it could help employees at the lower end of the scale, catch up with higher earners.#UK
