Ever find yourself with a handful of apples that just aren’t as fresh and crisp as they were when you bought them? Well here is a quick and easy recipe to turn the apples sitting on your counter into a yummy desert the whole family will enjoy.
Yield: 8 servings Cook Time: 1 hour Additional Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes Ever find yourself with a handful of apples that just aren't as fresh and crisp as they were when you bought them? Well here is a quick and easy recipe to turn the apples sitting on your counter into a yummy desert the whole family will enjoy. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl mix together flour, brown sugar, 2 tables spoons of sugar and salt. Cut the butter into the flour mixture using a pastry blender. Add oats to mixture, using your hands, mix together and squeeze to form large moist clumps. Place in fridge to chill, while preparing the apples. In another large bowl mix together apple chunks, remaining sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Once thoroughly mixed spread apple mixture along bottom of 9x9 baking dish. Sprinkle the topping mixture and bake until golden brown and bubbling, approximately 60 minutes. Let cool before serving.Apple Crisp

I tried your recipe last night for dinner but I omitted the 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar just because we are limiting our sugar intake. it was delicious thanks
